If a position file is available (uploaded to File:<sprite sheet name> Positions.png, for example File:BlockCSS Positions.png), it is overlaid over the sprite sheet, and is shown when hovered over. Otherwise, the sprite sheet image is displayed with a link to upload the positions file under it.
